Initial Evaluation and Peer Review

The manuscript review process at Arba: Jurnal Studi Keislaman is designed to ensure the academic quality and originality of each published article. This process begins with an initial evaluation by the editorial board to ensure that the manuscript is in accordance with the focus and scope of the journal and meets the technical standards of scientific writing. Only manuscripts that pass the initial selection will proceed to the peer-review stage.

The review stages applied use a double-blind peer review system, where the identities of the authors and bestari partners are kept confidential to maintain the objectivity of the assessment. Each manuscript is reviewed in depth by at least two reviewers who have expertise in the theme of the article. The assessment criteria include the novelty of ideas, relevance of the study, accuracy of methodology, scientific contribution to Islamic studies, and clarity of data presentation and arguments.

Reviewer Quality and Revision Process

To ensure the quality of peer reviewers, Arba involves academics and researchers from various accredited institutions, both domestic and international. The reviewer selection process is carried out strictly based on the track record of scientific publications and field expertise. In addition, this journal also implements a periodic reviewer performance monitoring system to maintain professionalism and timeliness in the review process.

The revision process is carried out openly and in a structured manner. After receiving feedback from reviewers, authors are given a certain amount of time to make improvements according to recommendations. The revisions made are then reviewed to ensure that all reviewer notes have been adequately followed up. If necessary, the manuscript can be returned for additional revisions or transferred to the final editorial process.
