Reviewer Guidelines

Every manuscript submitted to Arba will undergo an initial selection process by the Editorial Team. This initial assessment aims to ensure the manuscript aligns with the journal's focus and scope, adheres to Arba's writing templates and guidelines, and meets academic and ethical standards for scientific publication.

Manuscripts deemed to meet administrative and substantive requirements will be returned to the author for initial revision before being sent to reviewers for peer review.

Reviewers are expected to conduct their assessments objectively, fairly, and independently, and maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts, prioritizing academic integrity and avoiding conflicts of interest.

Title

Is the title of the article clearly, specifically, and informatively formulated, not exceeding 20 words, without the use of abbreviations, and accurately reflecting the substance, focus, and main variables of the research?

Abstract

Is the abstract concise and clear, covering the background of the problem, research objectives, methods used, main results, and conclusions, without citations, unusual abbreviations, or information irrelevant to the article's content?

Introduction

  • Does the introduction present the general context and background of the problem in a logical and argumentative manner?
  • Has the introduction demonstrated the urgency and relevance of the research topic in current scientific discourse?
  • Contain a critical literature review of at least five relevant previous studies?
  • Have the research gaps been clearly explained?
  • Have the problem, research objectives, initial arguments as the basis for the importance of the research, and theoretical and/or practical contributions (novelty) been stated explicitly and systematically?

Methods

Are the research methods described transparently, coherently, and replicable, including:

  • What approach and type of research were used?
  • Data collection techniques and procedures?
  • Data analysis techniques relevant to the research objectives?
  • Research location and subjects/objects (if any)?
  • Research instruments and explanations regarding validity and reliability (or data validity)?
  • Tools or software used (if relevant)?

Results and Discussion

  • Are the research results presented objectively, systematically, and proportionally, either in the form of narratives, tables, or relevant figures?
  • Is the data presented consistent with the methods used?
  • The discussion is able to interpret the results analytically, linking them to theories, concepts, or previous research findings?
  • Do the results and discussion clearly address the research problem formulation and objectives?
  • Does dividing the discussion into subtopics (if any) help clarify the analytical flow and deepen the scientific argument?

Conclusion

  • Does the conclusion present the main findings of the study concisely and accurately?
  • Have the theoretical and/or practical implications of the research findings been presented?
  • Have the limitations of this research been stated honestly and proportionally?
  • Have relevant, findings-based suggestions or directions for further research been stated?

Bibliography

Does:

  • The bibliography contains at least 20 relevant sources, consisting of primary and secondary sources?
  • Are most of the references from publications within the last 10 years?
  • Does the reference writing consistently follow APA 6th Edition style?
  • Are all references in the text listed in the bibliography and are all references referenced in the text (consistent citation)?
