Hamidah: Jurnal Ilmu Hadis is a scholarly journal focused on the scientific study of the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad from various scientific perspectives. This journal serves as a publication platform for research, conceptual studies, and critical reviews that contribute to the academic and contextual development of Hadith Science.

Focus

The main focus of this journal is on:

  • Development and understanding of Hadith Science (riwayah and dirayah) comprehensively.
  • Study of hadith research methodology, both classical and contemporary.
  • The relevance of hadith to modern life, including social, cultural, educational, legal, and scientific fields.

Scope

The scope of studies in Hamidah: Jurnal Ilmu Hadis includes but is not limited to the following fields:

  1. Study of Sanad and Matan Hadith – analysis of the authenticity, validity, and meaning of hadith.
  2. The Science of Takhrij and Hadith Criticism – the methodology of tracing hadith sources and evaluating their quality.
  3. Hadith Understanding Methodology – textual, contextual, maqāṣidī, and hermeneutical approaches in understanding hadith.
  4. History and Development of Hadith Studies – study of figures, madrasas, and the development of classical and modern hadith scholarship.
  5. Integration of Hadith Science and Social Sciences-Humanities – interdisciplinary studies between hadith and sociology, anthropology, linguistics, and gender studies.
  6. Hadith and Contemporary Issues – the role of hadith in responding to social, ethical, ecological, technological, and modern societal problems.
