Theme Description
The Islamic Golden Age (8th–14th centuries) is known as a period of extraordinary progress in science, philosophy, medicine, art, and culture in the Muslim world. This glory was not only born of the ingenuity of scientists but was also influenced by a dynamic social structure, a cosmopolitan culture, progressive religious values, a supportive political system, and economic processes that encouraged the mobility of knowledge.
This edition invites academics, researchers, and practitioners to examine these sociological dimensions and their relationship to the development of science in classical Islamic civilization.

Scope of Study (not limited to):

  • Social structure and scholarly networks during the Islamic Golden Age

  • The role of educational institutions (madrasahs, Baitul Hikmah, libraries) in the dissemination of knowledge

  • The relationship between religion and science in the context of classical Islamic civilization

  • The dynamics of cosmopolitan culture and cross-regional knowledge exchange

  • Political systems and rulers' policies in supporting the development of knowledge

  • Economic and trade factors as drivers of knowledge mobility

  • Scientific figures and their contributions to global progress

  • Critical analysis of the intellectual legacy of the Islamic Golden Age on the modern world

Manuscript Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not currently under review by other journals.

  • Written in Indonesian, Arabic, or English.

  • Article length: 4,000–8,000 words.

  • Use the style of Al-Qarawiyyin: Jurnal Ilmu Ushuluddin (template available on the journal website).

  • Citations and references follow APA 6Th style.
