Al-Qarawiyyin: Jurnal Ilmu Ushuluddin
Vol. 2, No. 2 (June 2026)
*Theme: Islamic Philosophy and Artificial Intelligence*
The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has transformed the epistemological, ethical, and ontological landscape of modern humankind. This transformation demands a critical response from Islamic scholarship, particularly in the realm of Islamic philosophy and ushuluddin. Amidst the paradigm shift in knowledge, authority, and human-machine agency, fundamental questions arise about the nature of reason (‘aql), consciousness (shu‘ūr), moral responsibility, and the relationship between revelation and technology.
As a journal focused on developing critical and contextual ushuluddin studies, Al-Qarawiyyin: Jurnal Ilmu Ushuluddin invites academics, researchers, and practitioners to submit their best scientific articles for Vol. 2, No. 2. 2 (June 2026) with the theme:
“Islamic Philosophy and Artificial Intelligence”
This edition aims to explore the creative and critical dialogue between classical and contemporary Islamic philosophical traditions and the latest developments in AI across ontological, epistemological, axiological, and theological domains.
